Cozumel
is one of the largest islands of Mexico. It lies off the coast of
the Mexican state of Quintana Roo. You can check the location on the Peninsula
de Yucatan map. We recommend that you try to
arrive directly to the International Airport of Cozumel (airport
code CZM ). You can also fly to the International airport of
Cancun
(code CUN ) (because of the large flight traffic
to Cancun, prices might be lower). Arriving to Cancun will imply some ground
transportation and a ferry.

How to get to your Hotel: If you land at the Cozumel airport, you can take a taxi to your hotel (this is a map of the island, number 14 is the Park Royal Hotel). If you arrive at the Cancun Airport , you first need to get to Playa del Carmen (60 km from Cancun) and then take a ferry boat to Cozumel. There is a bus service that will get you to Playa del Carmen in one hour for less than 4$US. Alternatively, you may take a private van (tickets sold inside airport terminal) to get to Playa del Carmen, the prices are: 31$US for a party of 2-3 persons or 26$US for a party of 3-5 persons (see van fares ). Once you have reached the Ferry dock at Playa del Carmen, take the first ferry boat to Cozumel. The duration of the crossing is about 40 minutes and the cost is about 8$US.
