Welcome!

The Emerging Microwave Technologies Group was created in 2005 as part of the Large Millimeter Telescope project which is the world's largest single-dish telescope, with a 50-m diameter primary aperture optimized to operate at wavelengths from 1 to 4 mm.

Nowadays this group is a consolidated research and development center consisting of three faculty researchers with considerable years of industrial and academic experience.

The projects carried out in the group (some in collaboration with other national and international institutions) have been in the development of front-end transceivers for wireless communications from a few GHz to millimeter waves, microwave components using superconductors, millimeter wave receivers for astronomical observations, metamaterial circuits at microwave frequencies and micromachined RF systems.
