The 2m Telescope

        The mirror was polished in our optics workshop at INAOE, Tonantzintla, from a blank donated by the University of Arizona.

        • Diameter of primary mirror: 2.12 meters,
        • Focal ratio f/12,
        • Design: Ritchey-Chretien,
        • Fork mounting.

        We've got some pictures here:

        • Its top end.
        • View of the secondary mirror.

        Apart from the main telescope we have a 16-inch MEADE for extinction measurements and a 8-inch seeing monitor.
