INAOE and the Puebla State Energy Agency Sign Collaboration Agreement

Strengthening ties and developing collaborative projects are two of the objectives of the agreement signed on May 7, 2025, by the National Institute of Astrophysics, Optics, and Electronics (INAOE), a center of the Secretariat of Science, Humanities, Technology, and Innovation (Secihti), and the Puebla State Energy Agency (AEEP).

The formal ceremony was presided over by Dr. Julián David Sánchez de la Llave, Director General of INAOE, who welcomed the attendees, and by Engineer Héctor Rodolfo Camacho Hernández, Director General of AEEP.

Also present at the ceremony were Dr. Claudia Feregrino Uribe, Head of Affairs for the Research Directorate and Head of Affairs for the Technological Development Directorate at INAOE; Dr. Ismael Cosme Bolaños, researcher at the Optics Coordination; Humberto García Flores, Director of the Lighting and Energy Efficiency Laboratory, and Janina Nava Ariza, Director of the Institutional Liaison and Planning Office.

Also attending on behalf of the AEEP were Joel Meneses Ortega, Director of Project Management and Monitoring; Emmanuel Cardoso Sánchez, Head of the Project Management and Monitoring Department; and Eduardo Antonio Bolaina Cruz, Private.
The work program included an institutional presentation on the INAOE by Dr. Claudia Feregrino Uribe. Héctor Rodolfo Camacho Hernández, Director General of the AEEP, spoke about the organization he directs.

Prior to signing the agreement, attendees exchanged ideas and discussed the possibilities for collaboration on the topics of agrophotovoltaic projects, energy efficiency, public lighting, and dark skies.
As part of the day's activities, guests visited the Microelectronics Laboratory.
