The Model
Taking as a starting point the divergent geometry suggested by Kuin & Hearn (1982) and Parker (1963) until the transition radius rT given by
where A(r) is the transversal section of the geometry at a given radial distance radial r, r0 is the initial radius and S is a parameter that determines the divergence of the geometry until the radius rT. Initially we have a rapidly divergent geometry with S > 2, and r < rT. The geometry is radial for r > rT.
The stationary model chosen as initial condition for the temporal evolutions for a super-giant K5 wind has: 1) mass = 16 M?; 2) initial radius ro = 400 R?; 3) Alfvén waves flux ?M0= 3.36 ? 106 erg cm -2 s -1; 4) initial magnetic field B0 = 10 G; 5) initial density ? = 1.07 ? 10 -13 g cm -3.
