The Guillermo Haro Workshop-2024 is bringing together researchers and students at different institutes and universities in Mexico to discuss research topics that would help to make the best use of Mexico's observational resources, such as direct access to present and future large observational facilities, i.e. GTC, LMT, LSST, ngVLA HAWC, JWST, etc.
The well-tested format of the GH workshop is an ideal setting for this discussion.
This format is designed to be flexible and accommodating. In the mornings, it includes 3 to 4 talks lasting 30 minutes to 1 hour, open-ended discussion sessions, workshops on specific topics, and working in groups in the afternoons.
This year's workshop will handle seven working groups:
We will schedule morning talks on a topic related to a particular working group. However, depending on the participants' availability, we expect some mixing of talks from different groups. All participants are free to join any afternoon discussion group.
Some talks about observational facilities and machine learning applications that could interest the whole community will be recorded or transmitted online.
